Short Game Area
at Moor Allerton Golf Club
Not only does the Yorkshire Golf Academy boast some wonderful areas to practice the long game, the facility boasts some of the best short game facilities in the county. A putting green that is in every way as good as those on the 27 hole championship course, as well as a wonderful chipping green. The chipping green has surrounding areas that will test the very best short game and is modelled on some of the Robert Trent Jones greens that golfers would find on the championship course itself.
Golfers can lose themselves for hours upon end with different lies, stances which command exquisite short game skills to get to the flags.
Surrounding the chipping green golfers can use the deep greenside bunker to play short side style shots, or the more awkward 30 yards bunker shots.
For those wanting to practice pitching and shots from <50 yards, the academy has a superb green that has been designed and maintained just like a regular golf hole. Stations can be set up at random intervals so golfers can truly test themselves from a variety of lies so no stone is left unturned.
